This is a picturesque village with many dragon trees and palm trees. The area of Zumacal, on the road with connects the two Breñas, is a model of environmental balance. Similarly, we find El Socorro, with notable examples of dragon trees, and a hermitage built in the 16th century. The local people generally work in the agricultural sector. The traditional products are bananas, avocados and other market garden produce such as potatoes and fruit trees. There are also some small industries, helped by the proximity of the island capital, which make up the local economy. Montaña de la Breña. - On the top of the Mountain of Breña, near the border with Mazo, we find the viewing point of the same name, from where the whole of the valley of Las Breñas and part of Mazo can be seen. |
